We work alongside lawyers. We manage documents and information at all stages of the litigation process. We understand the workflow pressure points and the importance of meeting deadlines. We know the Rules and we have developed proven and Court-endorsed practices to comply in the most efficient manner. And we are experienced in working with clients to compile, assimilate and analyse documents to add value to the legal services you provide.

We understand the value of true litigation support to lawyers and clients. Our goal is to bring this brand of professional assistance to the broader legal industry in New Zealand. We are offering the equivalent of having an in-house team to help you, but you engage us just when you need us.

We are accustomed to the imperatives of Court timetables and we will work to them with you. We are familiar with the volume of material that often needs to be handled in proceedings, and it does not scare us. We appreciate that those preparing for litigation don’t work from 9 to 5. And we expect that what you need may change from time to time. We know all of the processes that need to go on behind the scenes in order for you to put together a winning case, and we can help.

How we work

We can bring our specialist skills and strategies to your legal team, or work from our own offices, where our team can process, review and generate sets of documents – working with either hard copies or in electronic format - quickly, accurately and cost-effectively.

It is our aim to fill a gap in the market by providing more than mechanical document processing. We offer an intelligent and practised service. In discovery, we consult with you, then harvest, review and organise documents, capturing important information about document collections. We are able to eliminate irrelevant material, report on information you have briefed us to look for, spot gaps in document sets and ensure consistent compliance by you with the Rules of Court. Having gained an understanding of the case we can then assist with marshalling information. And in preparation for trial we can help compile and produce bundles, using our fast and cost effective electronic tools.

Our years of experience have trained us to find the best practice for each task and we offer these services at sensible rates which are set according to the nature of the task undertaken, rather than the individual engaged.

  • Authorities – send us your submissions, and we will draft an index, confirm inclusions with you, collect reported cases and legislation, produce a bookmarked and paginated PDF bundle for Council to print or print and tab at Goodwin Yallop and deliver to you, Court-ready. We are associate members of the NZLS library at the High Court.
  • Hearing bundles - send us documents in any format; we will collate, paginate, index and produce a PDF and print copies as required. Alternately provide a marked up discovery list and will create bundles from this.
  • We also have experience in setting up and running electronic courtrooms

Adding Value:

  • Hyperlinking document references in evidence with your document database
  • Book marking PDF versions of bundles to facilitate searching
  • Our electronic document management systems enable extremely fast turn around and delivery and allow for amendments to be made quickly and at low cost
